The North Node of the Moon’s entrance into Gemini is one of several major highlights of the year 2020. The True Nodes shift from the Cancer North Node and Capricorn South Node to Gemini North Node and Sagittarius South Node begins on May 5^th and will last until January 18^th of 2022. The Mean Node positions last from June 4^th until December 22^nd 2021.

During this transit the intense focus on security matters and global economy relative to the Cancer/Capricorn axis will become overlapped before being replaced by a universal increase of information, ideas and communications. As a mutable air sign Gemini heightens mental awareness and brings many new experiences. It stimulates conversation, activism, and collaboration among friends, families and communities. Together with Jupiter and Saturn’s transit through airy Aquarius in 2021-2022, the North Node in this sign highlights a worldwide theme that greatly enhances cerebral activity, lots of movement and exchanges with others. Gemini’s dual nature can lead to excess juggling of ideas and choices, reading several articles or trying to hold more than one conversation at once.

The last North Node transit through Gemini was from late 2001-2003 when the world was recovering from the 9/11 attacks. Just as the world had been turned upside down by those events and the major media outlets that kept people traumatized and fearful of travel, we face a similar situation today due to very different reasons. What was done to “protect” people changed life in significant ways. The growing concern then with possible lock-downs, constant surveillance and loss of civil liberties eerily match the issues that concern us now due to Covid-19. The proposal of mandatory vaccines in order to travel is tied in with the loss of freedom. Just as with 9/11, those who are questioning the mainstream narrative surrounding the cause of events are being heavily censored while propaganda is being pushed with a vengeance. On the dark side of the North Node in Gemini, talking and “spreading the news” is favored over privacy and accuracy, so unfortunately the current set-up reflects very similar dynamics to the 9-11 aftermath, but in many ways much more severe. No doubt, just as there was then, there will be a push-back against corporate lies and manipulation. This is one of many factors that indicates there is hope for humanity to rise up and take their power back.

Freedom of speech is still allowed in the United States of America but with the intensity of planetary line-ups leading up to the Pluto Return in 2022, we are in danger of losing that right, especially on the internet. The Gemini North Node is the forerunner at the gateway of the new life that awaits. The North Node makes a conjunction to Mars in the birth chart of the USA in  October of 2020 and a conjunction to USA’s Uranus in July of 2021. Both transits are likely to bring shocking events to the country, and particularly the one in July, which occurs just after 2 eclipses.

Gemini’s ruling planet Mercury will be entering Gemini on May 11^th 2020 forming a restless conjunction to the North Node by the end of the month, between May 27^th and 29^th. By this time it will probably be much harder for people to contain themselves and stay put if lock-downs are still in effect. The world of socializing and commerce may suddenly pick up the pace. Gemini wants to connect with others, explore the neighborhood, and spend time with friends and family.

Gemini’s polar opposite Sagittarius occupied by the South Node is highlighting the need to stay focused, bringing the painful reminders as well as wisdom of past experience to the riddles and problems of the present. Sagittarius’s ruling planet Jupiter has been making a powerful conjunction to Pluto in 2020 and by mid-December it will join with Saturn. The truth which Jupiter represents is what could begin to set us free from eons of global tyranny and deception.

One thing to be particularly aware of during this potentially draining transit is an abundance of nervous energy and anxiety that peaks in the collective, leading to more nervous breakdowns, suicides or psychotic behavior in those who are already unstable. For many years, every mainstream outlet around the world has inundated people with misleading info, nerve-wracking statistics and downright depressing news, day after tiresome day. The visual and verbal onslaught of repetitive garbage info and outrageous lies may reach a tipping point with the North Node in Gemini.

On the positive side, more people are beginning to notice the inconsistencies of propped up puppet speakers, trash magazine writers, perverse leaders, New Age gurus, internet cults and all varieties of Controlled Opposition. They are beginning to “talk back” and “drop out” in ways that deflate the puffed up egos of their bombastic, false gods. Less shekels for these criminals! They have contributed enough to the problems of the world with their long-winded diatribes and obsessed rants about things that do nothing to uplift or improve the lives of others.

The North Node in Gemini is the kind of influence that would reveal who our real allies are so we can better honor them, as well as what our distractions are, so that we are better able to remove them.

Planetary Aspects and Eclipses

Venus at 21 degrees of Gemini will be turning Retrograde on May 13^th until June 25^th and expanding on Gemini’s themes of duality and dabbling with this and that. Later during the first week of August, Venus in direct motion will be meeting up with the North Node. This could be a very defining time for relationships to family, kinsfolk, and those who we spend a great deal of time sharing thoughts and feelings with. This contact emphasizes what either makes or breaks the bonds.

The Nodes square Neptune from around October of 2020 until February 2021. During this period of time what we say and how words are understood, missed or entirely misconstrued could have dire consequences. If enough of us are doing our part in working together to reclaim our freedom we may witness huge miracles. 

Being able to interpret others literally, symbolically and through their body language and to “read between the lines” may become necessary in many situations. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively will also be of utmost importance. Conveying the truth in a world that is still mesmerized by glamour, trivia and fear porn will become the mission of teachers, messengers, and healers in every nation. Discerning those who are genuine from those who are in the game for fame and fortune is something that may be difficult for those who are newcomers to knowledge that has been previously hidden from the public.

What will life, post-coronavirus look like? It’s hard to say, as much depends on how seriously the majority of folks are taking it, as well as how they are interpreting it. One meaning of the word Corona is “crown” and another is the sun’s auric plasma visibly emanating from the edges of a solar eclipse. With this pandemic we’ve seen corrupt “royalty” and politicians exposing their own agendas as the most horrific diseases on planet Earth.

There are four upcoming eclipses that involve the North Node in Gemini and South Node in Sagittarius. These are:

• The penumbral Lunar Eclipse which will loosely conjunct the North North on November 30^th 2020 – is is the both the signal of major endings and the stirring of things to come.
• Total solar eclipse conjunct South Node in Sagittarius on December 14^th 2020 – this one will have a much greater impact that is carried into the next year.
• Total lunar eclipse conjunct South Node in Sagittarius in May 26^th 2021 – this one brings a lot of things to a head that were initiated during the Solar Eclipse on December 14^th.
• Annular solar eclipse conjunct North Node in Gemini June 10^th 2021 – this is a very powerful eclipse with a conjunction to the South Node in Sagittarius.

The North Node trines Jupiter in February-March of 2021 and Saturn in April through August of 2021. This may bring many clarifying opportunities and social advancements. We can make incredible breakthroughs at this time that help to bridge the gaps between theories and practice, science and spirit, community and personal efforts to push through obstacles and learn interesting new things.

Vesta joins the North Node in Gemini late May into the first three days of June. The power of speech may be greatly enhanced. This is the time for sacred rituals involving the written and spoken word, as well as for poetry, mantras, and singing with intention.

Whether the NN in Gemini comes as a breath of fresh air or a whirlwind of chaos will largely depend on how well we are able to cooperate with each other despite our many differences. Most of us want the same basic things in life which are to be happy, healthy and free. This must be remembered as the mental pace of life speeds up and technology continues to evolve.
