Letting Go with Fierce Resolution in Moving On

The values, pains, pleasures, punishments and patriarchy of the Old World are crumbling like rocks made of dust just struck by lightning. Each illusion both cherished and feared shall dissolve into the furious seas of change, whether slowly or rapidly… and surely this process has already begun.

As Pluto in Capricorn continues to challenge the infrastructures of our society, Neptune in Pisces pushes all our emotional buttons and boundaries. We can sink, swim, or rise above the turbulence, but we cannot remain static within it. Everything is changing, including us. How we respond to our changing world is still a matter of choice, but for how long? Our corporations and monetary enslavement in the guise of freedom and salvation has failed us. Our religious organizations have failed us. Our traditional education has failed us. Our pharmaceutical industry has failed us. Our political systems have failed us. Our hoarding, lying, cheating, stealing, warring ways have failed us. Even our lofty ideas have failed us, as we have failed to act upon them if they merely remain in the realm of thought. What are we going to do about it?

The Solar Eclipse 18 degrees of Pisces today and this month is challenging us to let go of old oaths, ties, objects, and outlooks but not just in a passive, devil-may-care way. We must be willing to let go of what no longer serves us – what no longer works, and to move onward with fierce resolution or get swept away by the tides. The process of elimination can sometimes be simple and easy, but at other times it can take a lot of hard work. It can take every ounce of concentration we can muster. When we begin to realize what kind of baggage we’ve been carrying as a species, going forward in the same repetitive way becomes unbearable, soul-crushing, and erodes our confidence and anything worthwhile that we struggle to build and maintain.

The Sabian symbol for the Eclipse 18-19 deg Pisces is:
“A Master Instructing His Disciple”

Who is the Master, or the Disciple? What is the difference between the two? Do you bow to an external figure or go within for guidance? In the case of accepting guidance from a guru, spiritual teacher or spirit guide, do you understand the relationship that is shared? These questions are just food for thought. There is no right or wrong answer, as each person will have a different lens through which they perceive the master/student dynamic, based on cultural upbringing and life experiences. We are in great need of the shattering of collective ignorance. What is important is that we comprehend the magnitude of power and knowledge that may be transferred to and through us intellectually and spiritually and what difference it can make toward overall healing and recognition of our Wholeness.
